the method
In the workshop in Onslunda, Sweden, every Oops Audio product takes shape through a combination of craftsmanship, precision, and deep material knowledge.
Production is rooted in long-standing traditions of fine woodworking, refined through years of hands-on experience working with wood as a structural and acoustic material. Each component is carefully machined, assembled, and tuned with close attention to tolerances, grain behavior, and mechanical stability.
But craftsmanship alone is not enough. Understanding how materials behave under vibration — and how structure influences sound — is equally essential. The result is a workshop environment where woodworking expertise meets acoustic awareness, allowing each product to be built with the precision required for reliable, long-term performance.
This is where raw materials become instruments of sound — shaped by hand, guided by experience, and finished with purpose.
Designed through listening, refined through patience.
At Oops Audio, every product begins with listening.
Not to measurements alone, but to music — to how it moves, breathes, and carries emotion through space.
Our design process is slow by intention. Ideas are developed through sketches, prototypes, and repeated listening sessions, where materials, geometry, and mechanics are adjusted step by step. We approach each product as an instrument rather than an object, refining its behavior until sound feels natural, present, and alive.
Materials are chosen not only for performance, but for character — wood, metals, and components that respond predictably over time and contribute to the overall experience. Nothing is rushed. Each decision is tested in real listening environments, where small changes can transform how music is perceived.
Over time, this process becomes a dialogue between craft and sound.
What begins as an idea evolves into a finely tuned system — shaped by patience, experience, and a deep respect for how music is meant to be heard.
Wood is not just a material — it is a living part of the instrument.
At Oops Audio, we work with natural wood selected for its character, stability, and response to vibration. Each piece carries its own structure, grain, and density, shaping how sound is controlled and expressed. No two pieces are identical, and that individuality becomes part of the final instrument.
We allow the material to guide the process. Production begins only when the right wood is ready — properly aged, stable, and suited for the role it will play. This patience is essential, as wood continues to evolve over time, influencing both performance and appearance.
Every plinth we create reflects this dialogue between nature and craft.
It is shaped carefully, finished by hand, and allowed to retain the warmth and presence that only natural materials can provide.
Where music becomes physical.
Sound is the reason we exist.
Not perfect sound. Not measured sound.
But living sound — the kind that moves air, carries emotion, and makes time disappear.
At Oops Audio, we chase the moment when music stops being reproduced and starts being felt. When a note hangs in the room just long enough to raise the hairs on your arm. When rhythm becomes physical, and silence between notes feels as important as the sound itself.
We do not design for numbers alone. We design for presence — for weight, timing, texture, and movement. For the subtle imperfections that make music human. Because the truth is, the magic in music rarely lives in perfection. It lives in tension, breath, and energy.
Every Oops Audio product is tuned like an instrument, shaped to carry music with authority and honesty. Not to impress on paper — but to create moments that stay with you long after the record stops spinning.
This is not about sound as a specification.
It is about sound as an experience.
