Our aim is to share music, to create moments of genuine connection, and to give more people the opportunity to express themselves and experience music collectively.
Listening to music with others can help regulate heart rate and blood pressure, while also fostering a sense of closeness and connection. Music is known to reduce stress and encourage dopamine release, supporting both mood and overall wellbeing.
So stay in tune with Oops Audio, and discover a better groove. How did we come to invest so deeply in creating a product that demands this level of craftsmanship? We didn’t see another way.
The persons behind OOPS
Torsten Salander
With over 20 years of experience in fine carpentry, Torsten delivers exceptional craftsmanship in every project and detail. His precision and dedication make him an invaluable key to the realization. Without Torsten's knowledge, there would be no Oops audio.
Jonas Lénberg
Jonas has been collecting vinyl records for over four decades, building a curated collection that spans genres and eras. Collecting records isn’t just a hobby; it’s a lifelong commitment to experiencing and sharing music. OOPS Audio is a collaboration with Torsten, driven by a shared passion for music and craftsmanship.
WHY OOPS AUDIO?
WHY
The answer is simple: we love music, especially vinyl. There is something timeless about LPs, from their fragile yet beautiful paper sleeves to the distinctly tactile and immersive experience they offer. Many of us have built our own record collections over time, and the idea of placing a sleeve beside what we consider a truly beautiful record player, crafted with a plinth of richly grown wood —was simply too compelling to ignore. The desire to create something that brings presence into the home, reflects a genuine awareness of design, and expresses a deeper connection to music became impossible to set aside. We pursued this because we believe in it. It is, by all means, a subjective view but one grounded in care, intention, and respect for the listening experience. To shape a more considered setting for music, while embracing authentic craftsmanship, became not just an ambition, but a necessity. Above all, we hope you will have the opportunity to listen. Because that is how we see it: not merely as a turntable, but as an instrument. Wallop and Punch are sound boxes, individually and meticulously built, each piece carrying its own subtle uniqueness.
FOR WHOM
If music, sustainability, and thoughtful design matter to you, and vinyl is your medium, then the Wallop and Punch turntable were made with you in mind. What started with a deep love for records and a shared curiosity among like-minded people grew into something real. After decades of experience and countless “I think I know how to do this” moments, that idea finally took shape. This is the result of collaboration, craftsmanship, and a genuine love for listening.
OUR MUSICAL BACKGROUND
My life in music - Jonas Lénberg
My musical journey began when I was five years old, sitting on my mother’s floor while she recorded yet another mixtape for the next party. My parents hosted gatherings several times a month, and the soundtrack was always spinning dance, pop, and soul from the ’60s and ’70s. Somewhere in the mid- ’70s, I bought my first KISS record. Over the years, LPs have come and gone, some I’ve passed on to my children.
Starting Oops Audio with Torsten became a way to test ideas and create a shared project, a reason to spend more time together. Turntables and music naturally connect with our other passions, especially crafts. For me, socializing, flipping records, building, and having wide-ranging conversations are what make the creative process come alive. Sketching and traveling in the mind, laughing, twisting and turning ideas, that is probably the most fun I know. And it’s even better when you share it with others, gaining a little escape from everyday chores and entering your own small, creative state of emergency.
My life in music - Torsten Salander
Born in 1982, Torsten grew up with music as a natural part of everyday life. His musical world has always moved between the raw, poetic edge of Tom Waits, the expansive soundscapes of Pink Floyd, and the storytelling tradition of Swedish troubadours.
For him, music has never been only about sound. It is about atmosphere, memory, craft, and conversation. Records, instruments, objects, and ideas all belong to the same world — something you return to, turn over, listen to again, and slowly understand in new ways.
Starting Oops Audio became a way to bring those interests together. A shared project built around music, turntables, craft, and the simple pleasure of exploring ideas with others. For Torsten, the creative process often begins in that space between listening and making: flipping records, discussing details, sketching possibilities, laughing, and letting one idea lead to the next.
